Cancellation Policy
Our team works hard to keep our schedule running smoothly so every patient at Neal Family Dentistry gets the time and attention they deserve. The guidelines below explain what to expect if you need to cancel, reschedule, or miss a visit.
Give Us 48 Hours' Notice: Plans change, and we understand that. If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please let us know at least 48 hours ahead of time so we can offer that slot to another patient who's waiting.
Cancelling with Less Notice: When an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, a fee applies: $50 for shorter visits (90 minutes or less), and $100 for longer appointments.
Missed Appointments: We consider it a no-show when a patient doesn't arrive for a scheduled visit and hasn't reached out ahead of time. No-show fees are $75 for shorter appointments and $150 for those running longer than 90 minutes.
First-Time Patients: We want your first visit to go smoothly. If a new patient misses their first appointment entirely without notice, we're unable to offer a reschedule. A late cancellation, however, gives new patients one opportunity to rebook.
Emergency Visits for New Patients: New patients booking an emergency appointment are asked to place a $100 credit card deposit when scheduling. That deposit isn't refundable, but it's credited toward the cost of treatment at the visit.
A Pattern of Missed Visits: If a patient accumulates three or more late cancellations or no-shows within a two-year span, we may need to discontinue care and dismiss them from the practice.
Arriving Late: Showing up more than 10 minutes after your scheduled time may mean we have to reschedule you so we can stay on track for other patients. We won't charge a fee the first time this happens, but repeated late arrivals may result in a charge.
Life happens, and we try to be flexible and understanding whenever we can. If you have questions about any of this, don't hesitate to reach out to our office.
